The brief
The terrace backs onto the kitchen extension: a long, blank wall facing the best view in Richmond. The owners wanted it to feel like the riverbank had come up to meet the tables.
What we did
Meadow for lightness, with Grasses packs set in clumps so the tall copper plumes catch the evening sun and move in the breeze. Extra fixings along the top edge handle the wind off the water.
