The brief
A rendered boundary wall faced south into the courtyard. Climbers had struggled in the heat, and the owners wanted the feeling of a Provençal garden from May to October.
What we did
Meadow's light grasses keep the wall airy in bright sun. Lavender stems went in as loose diagonal drifts rather than a pattern, so the purple reads from the far tables and still looks natural up close.
